Fire Commission

The Kingston District Fire Department is overseen by a civilian board elected by the residents of the Kingston Fire District. The diverse group of elected officials works cohesively with the Fire Chief to establish goals and budgetary direction for the fire department.

The Fire Commission meets on an as need basis and holds a public annual general meeting in May to brief residents with financial statements, audits, and annual budget. The Fire Commission encourages residents of the district to review minutes of any Commission meetings and minutes can be supplied upon request. Commission welcomes any inquiries or agenda items that residents feel needs to be addressed at Commission meetings.

ANNUAL MEETING NOTICE

The Annual Meeting of the Kingston District Fire Commission will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Kingston Fire Hall.

  • Presentation of Financial Statements for April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024.
  • Presentation of Budget for April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025.
  • Set the area rate at 5 cents per $100 of assessment.
  • Election of Commissioners for Districts of Melvern Square and Harmony.

All interested persons are invited to attend.
