Fire Hall Tours
The Kingston District Fire Department encourages tours of our facilities and of our apparatus (fire trucks) we encourage groups, both small and large of all ages to come see us. Our Firefighters are your neighbors and proudly serve their community voluntarily. These tours are conducted by firefighters, and visitors will have the opportunity to learn how emergency calls are received and equipment and personnel dispatched to the scene, learn about the work and responsibilities of the firefighters, including; station duties and training, to fires, rescues, accidents and medical calls.
Visitors will also be shown the various vehicles at the station as well as the equipment used by our firefighters. In addition firefighters conduct demonstrations for the general public and specific groups on request.
Please keep in mind that tours are conducted at an operating fire station. Tours may be delayed, postponed, or canceled at any time as a result of fire responses. At the start of all tours your group will be instructed on procedures to take in the event of an alarm; please ensure that everyone is aware of what action to take.
